Show starts at 08:00 PM May 10, 2008 Red Robinson Show Theatre
Having accomplished record sales of over two million records, a couple dozen hits, sold out coliseums across Canada and a Juno Award for “Band of the Year,” Trooper has become a Canadian legend. And what made them what they were then is still there now ... great performances and great songwriting. The band has performed thousands of shows in virtually every city and town in Canada and is the first Canadian band to successfully tour from coast to coast in their home country. They continue to perform their huge collection of hits including “Two For The Show,” “Santa Maria,” “We’re Here For A Good Time (Not A Long Time),” “Oh, Pretty Lady” and “Raise A Little Hell” with the vitality and sense of humour that has served them well on their steady march through the hills and valleys of Rock and Roll. And during their shows, they often encounter fans from three different generations in the audience only proving that the band remains ageless. Brian Vollmer’s Helix stands out as a Canadian Rock act that has achieved international success and recognition. Helix’s music is rooted in classic rock and could easily be compared to AC/DC and Aerosmith. They have toured Europe with Motorhead in the 80s and were there with Quiet Riot and Whitesnake in Los Angeles for the whole heavy metal explosion. And just last year, the band released their newest CD, The Power of Rock and Roll which fans and critics have called the best Helix album since Walkin’ the Razor’s Edge. The band is currently enjoying a busy 2008 tour schedule and their new line-up is lean and mean giving their audience just what they want including the classics “Gimme Gimme Good Lovin’,” “Heavy Metal Love,” “The Kids Are All Shakin’,” “Deep Cuts The Knife,” “Rock You!” and the list goes on.
