The renowned horn-driven funk outfit Tower of Power emerged from the rich San Francisco Bay area music scene in the early ‘70s. They’ve since released close to two dozen albums and have scored their biggest hits with “You’re Still a Young Man,” “What Is Hip?” and “Don’t Change Horses (in the Middle of a Stream).” Led by tenor saxophonist Emilio Castillo and baritone saxophonist Stephen “Doc” Kupka, the group has appeared on nearly 200 albums by everyone from BB King to Elton John.
