A NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS
Canadian song stylist, jazz singer and multi-Juno Award winner Holly Cole has made a name for herself as one of the most inspired and inspiring contemporary interpreters of popular song for close to twenty years. She has charted an international career that includes seven Gold and Platinum albums, numerous awards and some of the finest and most engaging vocal work in the studio and in concert. Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Cole left for Toronto in search of a musical start in 1983. She formed the Holly Cole Trio with bassist David Piltch and pianist Aaron Davis releasing their first album, Christmas Blues in 1989 and their second album, Girl Talk in 1990 followed by five more albums. It was in the late 90's when Cole introduced pop elements to her sound with the albums, Dark Dear Heart (1997) and Romantically Helpless (2000). She then returned to her jazz roots with Baby, It’s Cold Outside (2001) and Shade (2003). Her most recent album, Holly Cole was released just last year. Cole and her band will be performing at the Boulevard Casino’s Red Robinson Show Theatre in December for an exclusive evening of Holly Cole favourites along with such holiday classics as “Sleigh Ride," “I'll Be Home For Christmas" and "Christmas Time Is Here." Tickets on sale Thursday August 14 @ 10am Tickets: Golden Circle $49.50 | Orchestra $39.50 | plus service charges |
