Gary Lewis & The Playboys was one of the most successful musical groups of the 60’s. The first born son of entertainer Jerry Lewis, Gary wanted to pursue a career in music from a very young age. During his teen years, he and four of his friends formed the band Gary Lewis & The Playboys … their first audition was at Disneyland where they were immediately hired. From their very first show, they were enthusiastically accepted by the audiences and it wasn’t long before they were playing to a packed house every night. During the summer of 1964, the group was discovered by producer Snuff Garrett who along with arranger Leon Russell put them into the recording studio ... their first single, “This Diamond Ring” went straight to #1. After their second single, “Count Me In” went to #2, Gary and the band proved that they would continue to be a success. They followed with more Top Ten singles including “Save Your Heart For Me,” “Everybody Loves A Clown,” “She’s Just My Style,” “Sure Gonna Miss Her” and “Green Grass.” In 1965, Gary was named Cash Box magazine’s “Male Vocalist of the Year” winning the honour over nominees, Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra. Today Gary Lewis & The Playboys continue to tour and entertain fans across North America and abroad. The Liverpool Invasion features Liverpool legends Billy J. Kramer of The Dakotas, Joey Molland of Badfinger and Terry Sylvester formerly of the Hollies. Together they perform their most popular 60’s hits including "Bad To Me,” "Bus Stop," “Come and Get It,” “Little Children,” "Air That I Breathe," “No Matter What,” "He Ain't Heavy," "From A Window” and "Day After Day."
