Poison, one of rock's most iconic and enduring bands, will hit more than forty cities throughout North America this summer on their “Live, Raw & Uncut Summer Tour 2008.” The national tour, with Dokken and Sebastian Bach joining Poison for most of the dates, begins in early July. Since first bursting onto the scene in 1986, Poison has been one of rock's top acts with multi-platinum album sales and sold out tours. The success of the band's recent album releases and tours shows that Poison is as potent 22 years after the release of their debut album, Look What The Cat Dragged In as ever. Released in 2006, Poison's greatest hits collection, The Best Of Poison: 20 Years Of Rock rocketed into Billboard's Top 20 with a #17 debut. The 18-track CD and digital collection released by Capitol/EMI was soon certified Gold and Poison spent the summer on their highly successful "20 Years Of Rock" North American concert tour. Last year, they returned to Billboard's Top 200 Albums chart with the #32 debut of POISON'D! … the album which was produced by Don Was featured thirteen explosive cover songs such as new recordings of David Bowie's "Suffragette City," The Cars' "You're Just What I Needed," The Romantics' "What I Like About You," Sweet's "Little Willy," The Marshall Tucker Band's "Can't You See" and The Rolling Stones' "Dead Flowers." The band toured to more than fifty cities across North America on last summer's sold out "POISON’D! 2007” tour. VH1's hit reality series Rock of Love with Bret Michaels which is just finishing up its second season continues to draw high ratings. The first season’s love match was a mismatch and the search went on for Bret to find someone to "rock his world.” Next month, the band will be releasing their first DVD/CD collection in over a decade ... Poison: Live, Raw & Uncut which will feature all of the multi-platinum rockers' greatest hits performed live including "Nothin' But A Good Time," "Look What The Cat Dragged In" and "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" and will be captured in glorious high definition in front of 10,000 rowdy fans at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in St. Louis, Missouri. The DVD will also feature a bonus photo gallery and a behind-the-scenes segment that captures all of the mayhem and madness of life on the road and rounding out the set is an audio CD of Poison's greatest hits performed live. Poison’s “Live, Raw & Uncut Summer Tour 2008” will include a one-night performance at the Boulevard Casino’s Red Robinson Show Theatre during the Labour Day long weekend.
