Terry Gene Bollea – the man known around the world over as “Hulk Hogan” – is one of the biggest superstars of professional wrestling from its 1980’s heyday. It was in 1979 when Hogan first joined the World Wrestling Federation. His rise in the ring coincided with the expansion of the WWF where Hogan became a star through live events and pay-per-view television. His career got a big boost early on from an appearance with Sylvester Stallone in the 1982 film, Rocky III. A few years later, “Hulkamania” was in full swing with Hogan becoming an all-around television celebrity with all of his appearances on talk shows and on MTV. Easily recognized by his extra-large frame, long white hair and handlebar moustache, Hogan’s trademarks included feather boas, torn shirts and leg drops.

While with the WWF (later World Wrestling Entertainment), he secured five heavyweight titles between 1984 and 1993 and then joined World Championship Wrestling in 1994. During his five years with WCW, he earned six heavyweight titles. Hogan then returned to the WWF/WWE in 2002, grabbed his sixth title and revived his multimedia celebrity status. In 2005, he and his family debuted in the reality-based television series, Hogan Knows Best which aired for three seasons on VH1. He then served as the host of NBC’s revived series, American Gladiators in 2008. Hulk Hogan will be appearing with fellow wrestlers Jimmy Hart, Brutus Beefcake, Greg Valentine, Brian Knobbs, Honky Tonk Man, Hillbilly Jim and The Nasty Boys’ Jerry Sags at Boulevard Casino’s Red Robinson Show Theatre in July for an evening of stories and laughs along with a question-andanswer session.
