Red Robinson Show Theatre
Twisted Sister’s show at Boulevard Casino’s Red Robinson Show Theatre originally scheduled for Saturday, February 6, 2010 has been rescheduled for Saturday, April 10, 2010. Tickets already purchased will be honoured for the new date or ticket holders may request a refund at point of purchase until 5:00pm on Monday, March 1st.
Twisted Sister’s 37-year legacy with global sales of 12 million records, thirty-three Gold and Platinum Awards and more than 9000 performances is nothing short of amazing. Twisted co-lead guitarist, Jay Jay French formed the band in New York City in December, 1972. High school buddy, Eddie “Fingers” Ojeda came on board in 1975 as co-lead guitarist. With the addition of front man, Dee Snider in 1976, the band embraced the theatricality of the shock rock movement combined with their signature hard-rock sound that continues to embrace new fans while remaining loyal to their followers. In 1978, bassist Mark “The Animal” Mendoza joined the band and it was shortly thereafter that Twisted Sister began to make a name for itself on the gruelling club circuit while including more and more Snider-penned original material in the sets. The final addition of drummer, A. J. Pero in 1982 completed the line-up responsible for every Twisted Sister classic including “We’re Not Gonna Take It,” “I Wanna Rock” and their power ballad, “The Price.“ In 2006, the group released the CD, A Twisted Christmas … the overwhelming success of that release and its steady holiday sales each year were the inspiration behind what has become an annual theatrical spectacular, Twisted Christmas on Broadway. Currently they're celebrating the 25th anniversary of their legendary multi-platinum selling, Stay Hungry with a special edition package of the album which has been released on both CD and vinyl from Rhino Records. The bonus disc features a total of fifteen unreleased recordings including alternate versions of album tracks along with a new track titled “30.” Twisted Sister will be performing for one show only at Boulevard Casino’s Red Robinson Show Theatre in February, 2010.
